I have been smoking now for about 4 years and i cant seem to stop. Ive tried everything, the patch, the gum, anti depressent pills, and nothing seems to work. My wife hates the fact that i smoke and said that it has to stop. Does anybody have a stop smoking solition that actualy works. If yes please let me know.

Even though I've never smoked before, I heard a lot of good/bad suggestions for smokers who want to stop. I heard that if you don't smoke for 3 days in a row, you'll get used to it, and you'll eventually stop craving for a pack of cigeretts. Pills generally don't work. You've just got to put your heart in the effort to stop smoking. Hope this helped.

You've probably heard this before, but you can't do it because someone else wants you to. Try writing down the benefits of quitting and getting really psyched up about doing it for yourself. Then the patch or gum or pills might work alongside you.

Try a support group. the Red Cross (among others) sponsors quit-smoking groups in most major cities. Good luck to you. Quitting is well worth the effort.

My mom and brother actually went to one of those hypnotists before, and it worked very well for them. After that, they tried to stay away from the places that would make them want to smoke, like bars, and casinos. Good luck Senko...I'm sure you'll be able to quit if you really work towards it.

what i did to stop smoking was put a picture of my baby boy on my packs. that way it was a reminder to me that i was not only killing myself, but i was also potentially seriously putting my baby at second hand smoke risk. i stopped smoking after the second try, because my kid just means too much to me.
