I am wondering do cats eats vegetables? I know they are meat eaters, but I came to a number of articles saying cats do eat grass. And that is very interesting, cats eat grass, for what reasons? They says it was for self healing reasons, and I am wondering, other than self healing reasons, is there any other reasons for doing that?

Most cat and dog owners have observed that cats and even dogs from time to time are eating grass and this is known to be as self medications. When they don't feel well, they have a tendency to cure themselves and I consider this a wonder of nature. Even animals are healing themselves and they have a way to find out which grass are good for them.

some types of grass have a certain smell cats love (kind of like cat nip) I have 3 cats and they all enjoy nibbling on the very fine rye grass. 2 of them like using my rose bush twigs to clean their teeth. go figure... my mom's cat LOVES tomatoes and cantaloupes. and my cat harry loves mushrooms and broccoli... can't leave my plate unattended, it will be licked clean. and yes cats do eat grass to settle their stomachs.

Carnivores of any sort NORMALLY eat their prey -- including what's in their stomach's. Seeing as mice, rabbits, deer..and other prey mostly eat vegetables most predators get their veggies that way -- because even though meat's the main part of their diet, they also need vegetables.
So yes, cats need veggies. Our cats eat them often.
