I Came across the phrase 'sun outtage' on CNBC-TV18 , thought i'd find out what it is.
This is what my 'research' revealed.
Sun outtage is a phenomenon which interferes with the signals of geostationary satellite. Sun outages happen during equinoxes(when the sun is observed directly above the equator). The sun's radiation overwhelm the radiation of the satelite. This phenomenon usually occurs during the months of february, march, september and october.
In India, The BSE(Bombay Stock exchange) and NSE(National Stock Exchange) will suspend trading from 11:45 to 12:30 till march 17 . This done to avoid problems with online transactions.
The sun outage has a effect on television veiwing too. It can cause spots or freeze frames to occur.
Interesting stuff ah?

Hi, I had been thinking about wat is this sun outage. I asked many but they said "Some problem with the transmission of data" and nothing more. I have never heard that sun outage will also have effect on television viewing. Ur research had been very useful. I expect more such useful information from you in future also.

This is a neat site to look at to learn about that and more. It can cause more outtages than that are high levels. I have fun watching this site often. I know It has put our electricity out a couple of times out here.
