I own a business & go through a lot of ink so I try to refill them myself. However I have not been recycling the dead ink cartridges. Now that I have thought of it I am going to start recycling them. DO you recycle your empty ink tanks?

My husband did that once and he said it was a mess,so we just buy new cartridges...I don't know anything about it so i don't do it either...If you have a business than it would probably be worth it for you to recycle...You could probably do it right because you are more experienced than my husband..he hates to do anything that takes any effort so you could probably do it and save...

There are websites that make it less messy if you have the ink syringe. All you have to do if find your cartridge out of a list & it will tell you how many CCs to put in so it doesn't run out everywhere.

Yup, I recycle my ink tank by refill it. I use EPSON printer that much durable than else to refill. I have refilled my ink tank for about 25 times and my printer run smoothly until now.

Way to go. Manufacturer ink tanks are so expensive. I could never figure out why they want so much. I bought a photo printer that was less expensive than the ink cartridge. =(

I do recycle my ink catridges. My printer is Brother DCP 110-C and there is a company here which actually refills empty cartridges for an amount cheaper than the original cartridge by 80%. Whats best with it is that it has no limit on the number of times it may be refilled unlike other brands you can only refill thheir cartridges by as much as 3 or 4 times.

That sounds great. Here in the woods I get most of my stuff online. It is usually cheaper for me than locally.

The people in your country probably do not produce as much trash as the USA. Here in America we create landfills then cover them up with soil and turn them into a field. Then sell it to rich people from out of town. he he he

i do recycle ink tanks but bot by refilling them, coz if you refill them and use them again there is a risk that you may damage your printer. i just sell those empty tanks for recycling

That is true but I try to avoid the brands that I have never heard of. I'm using Polaroid ink right now & it is darker and looks better than the cheap stuff. Also refilling an ink tank will VOID your printer's warranty.

I'm all about saving money. When I save I pass it on to my buyers. Lower prices = more sales = more profit.

I do recycle my ones at home and we recycle the ones at work as well. For my ones at home, I get a mailer from Petsmart. Their charities get a certain amount per cartridge. At work we only have laser printers so we use the UPS mailer to send them back to the company to reuse.

A petsmart moved into my area about 6 months ago. I will see if I can take them there. I would rather give them to the animals than take them to staples who probably makes a profit from it.

I take them to a local ink refill kiosk at the mall and get them refilled until they are so worn out that they won't work any more. Then I take them to a local recycle stop that takes computer parts, monitors, printers and cartridges. They do try to fix / repair things to give to other people but as far as the cartridges go, they send them off to a company that melts them down and reuses the plastic.

I go through a lot of them during the peak selling season. Recycling is a great way to help prolong the landfills and make money for someone else.

I do recycle them. Sometimes I drop them off when I buy new or I donate them to a school. Schools get paid for turning in a lot of them.

It is a good idea to give them to a school. They need all of the help they can get. It seems like every time they give teachers a raise it cuts the schools funds. Why doesn't congress pass on a couple of raises and get our education system back on track.
