I'm not sure though if there are websites offering free domains most especially those TLD's - .com, .net and .org. But, you can register domains cheaper at 1and1.com or 1and1.co.uk.

Its not possible to have a domain name in free. However, you can create have your web presence by creating your webpages on a server hosted in some registered domain. I have done the same and my website looks like this http://webspace.ricmail.com/webspace/getlinktolink/homepage.html

if you want the similar syntax url, it is impossible to get it free. but there are other sites which give you free website domain, hosting and storage but it is something like .tk or .8m.com. For which purpose do u want to make a website?

May be it's not possible to have your own domanin without paying anything. But many host providers offer you to create your own webpage on their existing domains. If you created your WebPage on freewebs.com then your site address would be http://freewebs.com/?????????? only. Even if you used Yahoo geocities, the result would be same. As domanin names are unique and must be registered, and nobody would provide you such registration free of cost as there are so many things affects to keep each registration(maintanance and tracking). And even if you want webspace, you must pay accroding to your requirements. All you can get only from the Free Host Sponsors with their existance domain names.
