Are they really dog lover or just keeping the dog for fun?

I wanna share this true sad story that I saw in China, once I was at a beach in China, I saw this chinese family(father and 2 sons) they took 2 little dogs and went to the jetty and threw them into the water, and when they went back to the beach and waited, one of the little dog is back to the shore, they happily took the little dog and walked away, I stopped them and asked how about the other little dog that they threw into the water? They said the other was not as good looking like this dog they are holding, so they dont want it anymore. I was really sad when I heard this, and they went home happily in their motorcycle. I turned around and didnt see the dog in the sea anymore, kinda sad.

This story reminds me of a true story I once heard from a friend of mine.... He said... when he was young and his "female dog" would have puppies his father would put them all in a bag and throw them off the edge of a cliff into the sea.... he told me that the puppies screams haunted him to this day... I feel sorry for the children in your story... and the impact that killing animals might have on them .... killing animals is a characteristic of a serial killer! or maybe its a family ritual for that family .... only the fittest survive.

This is cruelty to those dogs. I wonder if there are plenty of this kind of family over there. The more I think about it, the more I hate to picture the occurrence in my mind. I pity those dogs.
