addicted to tv

I also have a son who is like your child. But recently he already change becaused I've talked to him bout the bad effects the tv will do for him.Try also talking to him but in a childlike manner. I hope it will be effective to you as it is for me.

I guess most of the kids of this generation are really addicted to TV's. And to solve thi i think you should probably get him something which would divert his mind from Cartoons. Or just cut the cable wire and make up a story like.... God has disruptted the signal so that he can watch it...or some crap like this. Maybe this would keep him away.

him turning it back on after you've turned it off should have been a "no no". just unplug it and take him outside or find some other activity to occupy him, coloring etc etc. he needs to get out of the TV as a babysitter habit before he starts schooling.
