acquainted with a girl

im 25 and im shy too before, aloof at times and quiet. I got over my shyness pass my college... I think the first thing you can do is to know what she likes and dislikes... If you know her and she knows you its better, you can approach her as FRIEND... Its best that way to get to know her better and let her see who you are... know the real you (do not pretend to be someone else)... a girl should like you JUST THE WAY YOU ARE... because it will HURT more for the girl if she finds out you were pretending to be someone else just to impress her... then as time goes being her friend you would FEEL if you think the friendship will move to a higher level... if you or if she feels more than friends then you can slowly tell her... Girls are diff in all places... i guess... for me... im glad to meet a shy guy because it means he is not trying to impress anyone.... :P thanks
