Thinking about joining the Military

well iam not doing much with my life soon as i got out of highschool, me and 2 other guys who served in the marines previously are joining the Navy, my mom says no, my dad says yes, i say yes, i mean they give you training and you get paid 1200 every 2 weeks, and iam still trying to convince my mom, i dropped out of college both semesters, and i just quit my job, i got over 3 grand in credit card debt to settle, and i figure this way i can pay off some of it, and also learn something in the process with dicipline, my question is anyone here been in teh navy, and how did you like it, also what did you do after you left?
