I do have a Tulsi plant in my house. We Hindus revere this plant and it is considered to be auspicious to have it in our home. Traditionally the Hindu way of life reveres anything that adds to people's life. Tulsi is supposed to be a medicinal plant, the extracts of the leaves can cure common cold, throat congestions and throat pains. It is also supposed to purify the blood. That is why Tulsi is used as symbol of purity during Hindu prayers and poojas. Cheers! Ram

In the summer I have cut flowers in the home. During the fall and summer my houseplants that have a vacation outdoors are here by my computer on the plant stand and table. I cannot have a house without plants. In my house is a greenhouse room and if we can get back in there, there will be plants galore there again.

I have a lot of green plants around the house. i actgually have to many. i cannot bring myself to throw a living plant in the bin. They are getting to big and too many! The last months we've also had fresh flowers most of the time. Right now we have red roses. They are beautiful - even if we have had them for more than a week. they look as if we just got them. They smell really nice too.
