do your hometown have special custom? what's it ?

i lives in a city in south china ,there is a old saying that in about August,all the ghost in the hell would come up to the ground,to escape being hurt by the ghost , many people would burnt some incense and feigned money to the ghost.

My hometown doesn't have any special custom .But we celebrate many customs in whole country as celebrations , biggest of them is diwali . Day of victory of light and truth over evil, darkness and devils .On this day we light candles all over the city and try to remove as much dark as possible .
