I catch a news last week about a deaf murder convict that mutilated a deaf person. Her defense say she should be exempted from death punishment since she has a disability. Do you think this is enough reason to exclude her the punishment?
For me only a mentally disable should be exempted from death punishment since they don't know what they are doing. But if a person is mentally capable he should be responsible to his action whether he have other physical defect. Do you agree?

Hi. I would agree with you on this one. It shouldn't matter that this person is deaf. If she was aware enough to mutilate someone, then she shouldn't have any sort of special treatment just because she's deaf. The person that she murdered was deaf, where is their special treatment? Unfortunately, ethical or not, her Defense lawyers will say or do anything to save her, if they think they can. I'm shocked that they would try and use her deafness as a way of doing that, but not surprised.
