India has seen many captains. Some did well and other not. Who do you think is the best captain? What sets your chosen captain from others? Will Dravid be able to become the best captain if india manages to get the world cup? Think about it.

I have been hearing that Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, Ajit Wadekar and Kapil Dev were great captains. However, I cannot comment on captains whom I haven't seen play or captain. I've seen Azharuddin, Tendulkar, Jadeja, Ganguly and Dravid. Out of these I like Ganguly the most. He was what they say a captain should be, "4 overs ahead of the game". He is an aggressive and arrogant player and as a captain it showed. These two qualities are very essential to be a successful captain. His field placement was very shrewd and full of aggression. And no matter what people said, he believed what only he felt was right for the team. After Ganguly, I think Jadeja was also a good captain, although he never got a full fledged captaincy, but he did great work in the few games he captained.
