I've found that when cats are being obnoxious they are actually trying to tell you something. Like, "I'm hungry" or "I'm hungry and I want something different to what's in my dish" or "You need to wash my dish...it smells" or "Please come outside and play" or "please come outside, I'm scared of the truck/dog/ram/chooks/neighbours" or "Make Kevlin go away coz I don't like him".
Only you know your cats habits and likes and dislikes. He is just trying to communicate with you.
Good luck.
