My hubby and I have been married almost 10 years. Heres what I've learned so far and maybe it will help you. Never, ever go to bed angry. Never when arguing say anything you don't mean. Those words can never be taken back. Let him know at least occasionally how much you appreciate him.
Communication is very important as well, talk about anything and everything. When he talks, really listen, and hopefully he is really listening to you too.
Don't bombard him with your troubles the minute he gets home, he is tired and would like first to relax. Ask him how his day was first and go from there.
There is so much that I've learned from my marrriage and every relationship is different so not all of what I've said may pertain to yours.
A few things I know for sure that should be a part of every relationship is:
1. Be honest.
2. Be sincere.
3. Always respect him.
4. Be supportive in all that he does, even if you don't agree. Let him know why you don't agree but tell him also, you'll still be there for him.
I hope you can use some of this. My hubby and I have never really argued, we talk things out and that helps. Good luck to you!
