while surfing on the net few days back i came accross 'chinese gender selection calender'. these cal seem to have originated some 700 years back in some tomb, n they were being used for gender selection purpose. i myself am a mom n planning for another child. the calender seemed to be very tempting to me. has any one out there come accross this cal and has been mad enough to use it also! please let me know ur comments n experiences. however one one thing, i found 2 versions of this chart on the net --- which is the real one, any guesses!

i can see why this sort of thing would be attractive in china, with the one child policy and the silly idea that an only child should be a male. However, i think it is of dubious scientific worth and may act only to placate desperate people I wish you luck blessed be

i have seen these gender selection calendars and must say they are not accurate. i'm a part of a pregnancy group and we all played with one and they were right about 50% of the time....which shows that it's all up to chance. i don't think there is any sure cut way to choose the gender of your child and i feel that if it really matters then you aren't ready to have a child. when you reach a point where either gender would satisfy you then you have reached the point that you can consider conception. those calendars are fun, something to play with, nothing to plan your life or the life of a child on.
