partner with depression

Hi, i really need advice from someone with real knowledge and insight in human nature here because i am in need of a lot of help. My partners father was killed in a motocycle crash last October and this tragic event has sucked her back into the pain and chaos of her childhood. She is getting counselling and is working hard on getting through this. I am giving her all of the support that i can although no one seems to understand how this is effecting our relationship and me. I am worried for my partner and i am worried for our future. Does anyone else have any experience in these matters? WIll this chaos come to an end anytime? I am patient but need to have hope.
