Abuse is almost entirely about control. It is often a primitive and immature reaction to life circumstances in which the abuser (usually in his childhood) was rendered helpless. It is about re-exerting one's identity, re-establishing predictability, mastering the environment – human and physical.What should you do if your boyfriend is very controlling?

Get out while you can because it just gets harder. The longer you are controlled the more easier it gets for him to control you!!

I would leave. If the guy is so insecure that he can't deal with a strong woman with her own opinion and rights to decide their own life than I wouldn't want to be with that person.
I'd dump the loser. I'd rather be by myself than with a guy like that.

If your boy-friend is controlling, you need to find ways to get out of the situation. Clearly this is a sign of abuse, and no women deserves that.
