I think how very sad it is that it is 2007 and the Disney Corp. is just getting around to acknowledging that there are more races than caucasion. ~Donna

Like many other people I am a great fan of Walt Disney's cartoons, so I will be looking forward to seeing this when it is released.
I am surprised about the amount of attention that the media appear to be giving to the fact that the princess is black, it hardly seems a significant factor to me. There must have been a great deal of real princesses that were black over the years, so why is this so special?

I say it is about time! When I first heard this I was quite pleased and still am. I will be taking my grandson to see this film as I have to other Disney films.

well I haven't heard of that but I think it is good that things can get better. This will allow us to see the other side and have a new taste of fairy tale. I just hope that racist people won't get angry with this.

I think it is nice that people of the coloured nations gets something to reperesent them,, I think in a lot of things they get left out too much. I think too it will be a way to educate our children that there is no difference in a nation,, we are all people and should be all equal
I will look forward to seeing this film as much as the other things that Disney have produced over the many years,

We're getting a Black Princess? But she's gonna be a frog? Come again. Well thats has to be better than what we have now right? And why has it taken so long?

I think it's about time. Back when Walt Disney was alive and running Disney, many of the animated movies were very racially biased and not in a good way. My son told me this because he is studying media in school. He was appalled at some of the stereotyping that went on in these movies. Thankfully, those days are gone so I look forward to this movie when it is finally released.

I think it's really great! What's also great about it is that it might actually be an original movie! We need more of those too. I'm sick of all the sequels that aren't really that great anyway.
Thanks for the information because I hadn't heard about that yet :)
