Elvis Presley or Buddy Holly?

I know most people will say Elvis Presley since he's "The King" according to many people, but I personally prefer Buddy Holly's music. I actually find quite a bunch musicians of the late 50's and early 60's better than Elvis Presley.
Who do you prefer and why?
Who is your favourite musician of this time?

Elvis Presley never really appealed to me, mainly because I was never a fan of the early rock and roll. He did make a few decent ballads later in his career, but not enough to inspire me. Buddy Holly and the Crickets were much more my type of music, and I still have a few tracks of their's and several other people from that era such as Billy Fury and Paul Anka.

I never really cared for Elvis. Sure, some of his songs were great, but I didn't care for all of them. I think it was his attitude that turned me off. I didn't even care for his movies, and thought he was not that good of an actor either. Buddy Holly, now there was somebody that came out with some good tunes! Who doesn't remember 'Peggy Sue', 'Maybe Baby', or 'Ting-a-ling'? They were some rockin' songs and good music back then!
