I began babysitting when I was 13 or so. I started working in a plumbing store as a cashier when I was 15 years old. That was exciting! I made $1.75 an hour and thought that I was rich!

I didn't have a "real' job (meaning W-2's, taxes taken out, etc)until I was 18. My parents wanted me to concentrate on my studies in high school. I did things like yard work and babysitting to earn a little money starting when I was 14 or so, but not very often. We travelled overseas in the summers, so I didn't work on those vacations either growing up.

I got my first job when I was 30. You know, here in Italy we begin very late, because of our universities that are very full and very difficult to attend.

The summer going into ninth grade I got a job. So I guess I was 14. I worked for Allstate as a telemarketer. I tried to get people to do an insurance quote by calling them. I did not know how to talk to people and I was really bad. I had awful people skills at that point and could do so much better know. It was still horrible. Thank God it was only a few nights a week.

I got my first job near the end of my last year in high school. I was working in a grocery store. I was working there a lot at first but eventually then had me working there only on saturdays. I worked there every saturday for 4 years and I didn't like working there anymore so I left and got a job at Zellers but only worked there for a year because I that's when I went back to college but I haven't been working for over a year now.
