Stephen King

I'm torn between two books of his. "IT" and "The Stand" are both books that I love by him. They really grabbed me and just pulled me in. I also loved the films made of both of these. They were well done. Stephen King has a way of writing that just pulls you in until you finish reading it and even then they stay with you.

All are my favourite.. (except Needful Things.. too long and a bit slow) but the best so far is Desperation.

I can't choose just one favorite. I love the Dark Tower series, and that right there is seven books! Other favorites include The Stand, IT, and The Green Mile.
