What is so special with hamburgers?

Why is it that we tend to eat so much hamburgers? I love to eat hamburgers but I can't really understand why. It's not my favourite food but it's almost the type of food i eat the most. Can anyone explain?

That is a really good question. I think it is because they are so versatile. There are so many ways to change how they taste. Every outlet makes them a bit different. Also, you can add what you want to them...
