Ok I hope I am not going to embarase Ross as he is a member on here now but I just had to tell my story, As most of you know Ross has CP and now is really geting on with his life, getting much more indipendant and has applied for his own place, most of his life when it has been mothers day I have bought myself something from Ross and he would give me the money, BUT THIS YEAR, we were in Asda shopping and he didn't come back out to the car with us to put the shopping in the boot, I wondered where he was, when I looked back here he was all 6 ft 1 of him walking out of the shop with this beautiful basket of flowers, because of the CP he was holding it out at arms length, not even in a bag to hide it, he walked over to the car and presented it too me, I just felt a lump in my throat and I felt so proud to be his mum, he says it is because he appreciates me so much, but it was he first time he has actually done this on his own xx

Mushy indeed weemam, that bought a tear to my eye as well. I know I've only exchanged greetings and posts and responses on-line but he comes across as being very open and a very nice young man.
I can just imagine how much joy he brings you during those special moments. You're very lucky to have such a wonderful boy. And he's lucky too.

That is a nice story, it is great when your kids appreciate you, but you know when they are considerate enough to go out and buy you flowers, you know you have raised a wonderful, thoughtful person.
He sounds like a sweetie, stand tall and be proud.

That is beautiful and proof that your little boy is growing up. I know that the hardest part of being a parent can often be to stop parenting but this point may come for you. Are you ready for it?

It is times like those that count the most. It is one thing about him you will never forget. You should have been the proudest mom in town.

You are very lucky to have a son like him. It is now rare for sons to show their love for their parents, especially in public. When I get married and have my own family, I hope I will have a son like your Ross. :)

Your son has CP but he is blessed with a great and caring heart. You get back what you learnt him. You loved and appreciated him and now he gives that back to you.

You have every reason to be proud of him. What a story of joy. Mom just enjoy it, savory the moment. I am so sure he was and is proud of himself also.
So good to hear stories of triumph, we hear and see so much depressing news and stories.

That was a nice story. My husband and I always tell eachother we are lucky to have a healthy child, but I think we are lucky just to have a child. I would have loved him regardless of anything. My cousin just had a kid and we think it might have CP and everyone is feeling bad for her. I tell her it will still be a loving person.
