It has to be Tourism. It's such a great concept: go on tour, record in strange places. I like the songs they did in hotel roooms although my favourite track has to be Cinnamon Street. I do not know why this song was never released as a single.

Yea, you are right! I love how they changed their sound totally in Have A Nice Day. I believe it is a very good album and it also had four singles (Wish I could fly, Stars, Salvation, Anyone)

Yes, I heartily agree it's a very exciting concept to record an album while on tour. I think Tourism was released in a time when the music scene was changing with more alternative bands coming out, and to my knowledge only two singles were released off that record; How Do You Do! and Queen of Rain. On the contrary the previous record Joyride had 5 singles. I think the whole music scene kind of moved underground with unknown artists emerging out of thin air, dominating MTV, and popular bands of the 80's and 90's disappearing, so to speak. The media somewhat did not support those bands, as if some big guys on the media decided to change the musical era! It's like a conspiracy theory, but just look at the history of popular music and charts of the past two decades. It's my opinion anyway. Roxette was always making good guitar driven popular rock songs, and I guess that's why they survived. But they changed their sound considerably as well. 'Adapted' so to speak.

Joyride has got to be my favorite album too!
I remember listening to the cassette in the old Cortina when I was a kid, and got the CD for my birthday last year! Unbeatable!

Your mention of cassettes brought me back old memories. My neighbor had introduced me to Roxette and I had bought the cassette too. Some time later I bought the CD and it was the first CD I ever bought. I remember it just like yesterday. The store is not there anymore. I still have the CD though :)

It's amazing to hear It Must Have Been Love from Tourism. It's such a magical atmosphere to hear 45000 Chilean fans singing the chorus in unison. Did you know Queen of Rain was actually meant to be put in Joyride album? They eventually ended up putting it on Tourism.
