Is there any big O fans here. I absolutly love this mans voice I have most albums. Elvis called him "the greatest singer in the world", whilst Bob Dylan said "There was nothing else on the radio like him. I'd listen and wait for another song..."
My favs are Only the Lonley, Heartache, Cry Softly Lonley One, Amy, Penny Arcade. Anyone else a big fan? Anybody seen his film "The fastest guitar alive?"

The problem is Englebert doesn't sing songs that I like but he does have a good voice.

I have been a fan of Roy Orbison since the early 1960s when I first encountered his records. I always preferred the earlier recordings such as "Only the Lonely" or "In Dreams" which seem to truly represent him. Not only did he produce some excellent records, but he had a tremendous ability to walk onto a stage and simply stand there and sing in total relaxation.
I have a copy of the film that he made entitled "The Fastest Guitar Alive", but it is a rather odd film that does not do him justice. He is even difficult to recognise in the film, but it was something that I felt I had to watch.

He had an awesome voice but I still like Steve Perry better for some reason.
