How do you think we should discourage kids from drug use?

Montana is being controversial as they make ads with their Montana Meth Project to discourage teenagers from trying the drug. (Link to the commericals is at the bottom of the post). I, personally, feel the commericals are a good start to discourage kids from meth. However, there will need to be more things obviously. My Life Management teacher was going to show my class a bunch of movies of real drug addicts going through withdrawl, etc and my principal wouldn't allow him to show it. My teacher said..giving them facts does not work with kids..you have to scare them. What do you think? I'll admit...I have smoked pot..I was addicted to pills. I smoke cigarettes. I drink. However, when I was abusing drugs it was one of the worst times of my life. I want to help other people. http://www.montanameth.org/View_Ads/index.php

I think the best way is to keep kids involved with things they like to do like sports and help them find good influences.
