Is it okay for a 21 year old to date a 17 year old?

I dont see anything bad in it until it is legal! Age difference of 3-5 years betwwen the two hardy matters.. Its all about how mature one is and if he/she can understand well as what is good for him/her and what's not. He/She should be careful enough about the relation as relationships are very fragile and they need extra care, if they break, you got to get a lot of pain.. So, if one wants to go for it, think well and then decide!

Hey you better be careful in case you think about dating anyone who is less than 18 yrs old coz in most of the countries it is illegal and can lead to serious repercussions if things go wrong. It would be fine if you are just hanging around or dinner but more than that would strictly be a no no

It depends on what part of the world you live in, in the US its illegal in most places to date someone under 18 if you're over 18.

I don't think that is much of an age difference first of all, but in some places it is illegal to date someone under the age of 18. So it would have to depend on the laws of where you are from. Then also it would depend on the parents and if they are fine with you dating their 17 year old child. If not then you would have to wait until that individual is 18 and be best to keep it at strictly being friends.

If it would just be a friendly date, there's nothing wrong with it.

I'm from England ,United Kingdom , and that would be absoloutley fine . I've seen some really scary stories in the newpaper where 17 year olds are marrying 50 year olds and it is perfectly fine under british law . Disgusting Non the less . But I suppose you can not help who you fall in love with . My Ex wife was 3 years older than me so when I was 17 she was 20 and I didn't even notice the age gap . I think decisions on whether its appropriate or not are usually made by the people around you . They will soon make there opinions clear on the subject matter . I was always taught to follow my heart and forget what everyone else thinks . Sometimes that is a good route to take , but only you would truley know the answer to your question . nope it's illegal too much trouble will come from it. Just stick to 18 and above to be safe. (girls or boys don't matter nowadays, under 18 is offlimits)

When I was 17, I dated a 22 year old. That's just okay. It depends on the maturity of both individuals and also if you parents agree.
