This is a very recent study done on the writing found on the tombs that were supposed to belong to Jesus, Mary Magdalene and a child. In fact, it seems that the writing on the female's tomb actually contains TWO distinct names, probably containing the bones of two different women, named Mara and Marianne. Here is a link to the original article: http://www.uhl.ac/MariameAndMartha/

It was expected, I still haven't read the original article, but it was expected. Well, the believers are more relaxed now. Because if it was confirmed that the tomb was from jesus it could have shattered christianity.

Yeah. I was actually kinda torn on this issue, because on one side we had really bad "science" which was little more than a publicity stunt to cash on the sensationalist media; and on the other side we had a religious belief (the ressurection and body ascendance of Jesus) that I really didn't share at all. So I wasn't too sure whether this was happy or sad news for me particularly... but what matters is the truth, whether I like it or not. =P
