How would you all feel if you had a driveway and.............

right behind the driveway is an alley and my neighbors put this basketball net up right behind my driveway? Here's the thing, I park my car there and kids are constantly in and out of my driveway, which used to be a yard. My car has been scratched from one end to another and has dents now, the kids are older, like 12 to 18. Their very nasty. Once we put yard trash out for yard trash day and the kids were playing basket ball and threw the yard trash all over the alley. They wouldn't pick it up so I had to call the police to come talk to them and have them pick it up, when I asked them they just said to f... off. It's been going on for so long now, like about 8 yrs. at least. The basketball stand is starting to rust out and it actually topples over now because it's not in the ground right. When the kids play they can actually pull it over so easily. I've tried to talk to the neighbors about it that put it up but they don't care to talk about it. I can't stand another spring and summer of this again. The neighbors son is 18 now and really doesn't play anymore, it's just there for the neighborhood kids now or actually kids come around that don't even live around here. Thanks for all your advice everyone.

This is why I live in the country with property. In this day and age the selfishness of people know no bounds. I would find elsewhere to park my car also. Put a junker there and grow poison ivy. Or prickly throny plants. Barriers and fences make better neighbors. Sounds like it might be calming down as the kids grow. You could also go in cover of night and remove it. Good luck with this one.

Thanks for all your advice. The only thing with the poison ivy, great idea by the way, is there's no where for me to plant any. I have a garden but it's not really impeding them. I thought of getting a junker also and parking it in the alley where they play. I was thinking maybe put up gate's to the fence. Just open them when we have to go out. You are so lucky to be living in the country where there's no one around. People are very selfish and uncaring in this day and age, your very right. I would love to get someone to remove, I would pay someone. The thing with the neighbor's is they would rush right out and get another one just for spite. Their son will probably be going off too college but they'll still leave it up. And the thing is so ugly, it's like an eye sore to the neighborhood. Thanks for all your great advice!!
