How has blogging affect your life, for better or for worse?

It's the rage of this online generation, and there seems to be no let-up as it lures people from all walks of life to make their presences felt in cyberspace. Whether to make online money or just to vent off feelings and ideas--from the enlightening to the trivial--blogging has become the higher frequency for the need to interconnect and reach out.
Has blogging enriched and improved the quality of your life? Or, has it only worsened your sense of isolation and distracted you from pursuing more pro-active and life-affirming activities?

hmmm.. pretty tough question! for me, i think its both. it made me better because i was able to hone my writing skills and explore other ways to express myself. it, however, distracted me from doing what i supposedly should do -- study since i am in the medical field. thus the need to study a lot. anyhow, it made me a so much "rounder" person, not just exercising my academic gifts but also the creative ones. blogging is great! but as with everything, it should only be done in moderation.. =)

I am new to blogging. I never thought it would be something I would be interested in, but lately I have been have been doing trying my hand at it. I actually have started a couple of different ones, but this is the better of the two:

I don't think that it distracts from the quality of my life, nor do I expect it to make much difference one way or the other since I don't spend an extreme amount of time there.
Most of the time I spend isn't affected by the blog itself, but on the activities that are posted on the blog. I think that besides being a place to let others know about some of the opportunities I am involved with, the blog actually gives me a place to put them all together for easier access, possibly saving me time.
It makes it easier for me to keep track of when I joined each program and which ones paid. I may also decide to add additional information as I go along. I haven't decided for sure yet.
