Recently our government has issued 4 licenses to service providers that willing to provide WiMax in the country. I just wonder how many countries that has actually roll out WiMax and if they are successful? What are the possiblities that effect WiFi and 3G?

i'm on a Wimax 3G connection in Sri Lanka. I like it cause the network is available every where unlike Wi-fi, only to specified places. Also 3G speeds are greater i think.

which country? I know several countries and zones are trying to provide WIMAX service. WIMAX is the killer of WiFi, and focus on different domain with 3G,So it will coexist with 3G.

here in the philippines, wimax has been on its testing ground initiated by intel and globe telecoms. wimax is basically wi-fi to the max in lay man's term. wimax will definitely make wi-fi more usable. wimax is a superhighway and wi-fi is only a vehicle that runs to wimax super highway.
