Dog or cats?

I do really enjoy dogs and cats both however I am severely allergic to them. I am more of a reptile person (snakes and lizards)

I love dogs and cats, but I find myself to pay more attention to cats. He is a very smart and lovable Siamese. I also have 2 dogs... A german shepherd and a Rottweiler. All 3 are very smart, but I like the fact that cats are more independent and take less maintenance, in my opinion. Also, I had to spend a lot of time training my dogs.

I like both although I have to say that I have never had a pet cat i my life but I've met a lot of nice and friendly cats. Dogs are more straightforward and playful while cats are more cunning in planning something behind their cute appearance ;) But both make good and loyal pets, my friends who have cats told me that when she was upset, her cat licked away her tears, when I was upset, my dog wouldn't leave my side. I think both are good pets but perhaps cats are less smelly because they clean themselves often, while dogs (at least mine) used to like to play with his own smelly mess.... :(
