Barbie dolls collection, collectors out there

Have been collecting Barbie dolls for about 5 years already. Seem like nowadays the popularity of Barbie dolls are going down the drain. the value of the barbie dolls are going down. In ebay for example barbie dolls are no longer a hot item as it use to be about 5 years ago when i started collecting. Any collectors out would like to share their experience and comment. What range of Barbie dolls are still valuable now......

I am not sure of the value going down. I do know that their are tons of the newer ones being made. I have collected Barbies since I was a kid. I always got atleast one. I plan on passing my collection down to my daughters so that they have them. My oldest one is from 1975. I was a tomboy when I was a kid so I never played with them just put them away because my dad gave it to me then one day I pulled them out and decided I would just continue to collect them since my dad had started it.

you are right, tones of newer ones are being made, this i think is the cause of the devaluation of these dolls. what a pity...
