My Mom e-mailed this to me last night and it was so interesting, I learned 2 things about my own mother I didn't know. The e-mail was much longer, too long for here but I think it would be fun to find out these things about people around the world on myLot.

Oh I love Over Board - Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russel, I've seen it over and over too and I still cry when she leaves and the kids are mad at their dad. The rest of it is so funny I nearly die laughing.

I was actually thinking of doing something similar to this, except asking like 10 questions that you would get in one of those fwd surveys, just to see you know, what people are like here besides what we already know of our friends. Cool...
1) The only place i've been on vacassion to besides the lake and what not is the Canadian Rockeys, all through there, but the most memorable is a mountain top called Cork Screw Mountain (Scariest place in the world, i swear, but georgous at that)
2) I've Lived in Ottawa Ontario Canada, and uh Edmonton Alberta Canada, those are the 2 cities, the towns, most people have never ever heard of :P
3) i don't watch much tv or movies anymore, but the 3 major ones i used to watch all the time were as follows:
Girl Interrupted (It was so crazy and everything that it kept my interest, i like anything i can analyse)
Clueless (I had a stage for like years haha)
Save The Last Dance (I loved that movie, and still watch it to this day, when i'm into watching a nice movie)
4) Like i said before i don't watch much tv, but when i do plant myself in front of it it's usually the following that i'll watch:
Gilmore Girls (Love the show)
Reba (A great show for sure, can't stop watching that)
Law and Order SVU (I like things that keep my mind working, and this does the trick)
CSI - Crime Scene Investigation (Just as law and order, i like to keep up my mind, i'm very analytical, and love finding who did the crime before it shows me, i just love these shows)
Thanks for posting something so interesting!

i'm like you are, until the other day i had the computer right beside the tv, and i don't have it on when i'm home by myself, but when anyone else at all is home, they can't live without tv, so i only look at it when something peaks my interest or irritates my ears :P
Canada is a wonderful place, as long as you hit the less 'commercialized' places, i hate being near tonnes of people, so it was really amazing to go up on our own through the rockeys, without hitting places like jasper and that, i've never heard of the show train but i'll look it up and get you some info, it might be something nice to get into.

LOL I always have a hard time with TV questions - I have the TV on all the time but seldom actually watch it - my laptop is in direct line with the television so if I "hear" something interesting I'll look up for a minute or two, then back to the computer.
I do want to visit some of the less traveled spots of Canada someday. I would also love to take the "Snow Train" sometime, not sure where it is or goes but I've heard it's spectacular.

"But Miss Scarlett I don't know nothin abot birthin no babies" My all time favorite movie. I have to admit I do watch That 70s Show from time to time, it gets a little "nasty" now and then but it is really a pretty good show - I have a lot in common with the main characters "high school in the 70s".

My #2 son and his wife went to Hawaii for their honeymoon. They brought back a million pictures which I've used a lot to make graphics for my web site - he knew I would do that so took lots of flowers, seinery, and sunsets. I love all the movies you listed, great line up for a Sunday afternoon.

Now see, we've been "chatting" back and forth for a few weeks now and I just learned something we have in common. South Dakota - you must be an AF brat, AF wife, or AF yourself. My #2 son was stationed in South Dakota for 7 years (minus 3 tours overseas). He was married there 3 years ago at the hotel not far from Mt Rushmore... This is bad but funny, I have a picture of my youngest son when we visited Mt. Rushmore - in the picture it looks like he's picking George Washington's nose, he did it on purpose :(

Yep we went to Crazy Horse too, I have some rocks from there, pieces that were chipped away, they were selling them for a couple dollars each and the money went towards helping to do the work on the monument. It's going to be specatular when it's finished. My son was at Ellsworth but praise the Lord he's been advanced and is although farther away (CA) he won't be sent overseas again. He's serving his 8th year now and still don't know if he's going to get out this time around or not.

I was in the Air Force and was stationed in Turkey. Incirlik AFB. I met and married my husband there and came to the states where we were stationed at Minot AFB, North Dakota. While we were there we went to Mount Rushmore and what a beautiful place it is. The pictures do not do it justice. That is fantastic that your son was stationed right where Mount Rushmore is. I'll bet he went to a place also which was about ten miles down the road from Mount Rushmore called Crazy Horse. We saw the monument at the start of it's construction and want to go back when it is finished or near finished. I think that is funny that your son did that. Kids will be kids as the saying goes. Well, I will go ahead and stop for now. My husband and I are getting ready to go and enjoy the pretty day. The sun is shining and a wee bit of a breeze but not to bad. This is really nice. I have learned another thing about you. The foundation upon which friendship is built.

Good Will Hunting is an excellent movie I've seen several times. I must say I've seen The Notebook but only bits and pieces, I'd actually forgotten about it until you mentioned it - I would like to see it all the way through sometime.
