I love singing too even if I can't claim excellence on the field. It does serve as a therapy sometimes when it eases the heaviness on my chest through singing. When this happens, I choose songs with the highest notes and belt out to my hearts content. Aside from the fact that singing makes me take in more fresh air and easing my heavy chest in the process, I have also done a good deal of practice.
What about you? Do you simply sing because you want to or do you use singing as a means of expressing yourself or something?

Oh, I am glad to have met someone who shares the same interest. I haven't tried being a member of a band but I do public performances sometimes in my province.

Are you a solitary singer? I sing when in the bathroom, when I am in off mood, in sorrow and when walk alone in the dark at rural road. It also sooth me, cool me and bring a fresh feeling in mind. Also laugh is a great therapy and try to laugh along with singing then you will own a sound heart.

I love to sing. And i do it all the time. but when in public and am asked to do it i chicken out. I always feel i should get a music teacher to correct me first before going out in public. I mean save me the humiliation right?
Sadly i don't have time and money for singing lessons. And agree it is a great way to express yourself.

I love to sing. I've been singing since 5 years old. However, my vocals are needed by my boys *LOL* They make me sing their songs and nursery rhymes and cartoon tunes.
When i do get time for myself, i sing my heart out just to release some stress. Cheers! -Lyn

Hi Jean Rose, I simply love singing whether I'm up or down. I agree with you that singing is a good therapy. I will sing sad songs especially when I'm down not to make myself feel worst but to feel more about the situation I'm in. I remmember singing the most in the nine month after 9.11 when my business start to go downstream till I finally gave up and went into deppression for abot 2 1/2 years.

That's the thing I love about being filipino is our heart loving to sing. Back then in the Philippines last year I have joined many videoke contests and sang for special events. I love to sing in tagalog and english when I'm on the video machines, the booth or in front of large crowds. I plan to make a career in singing one day in the Philippines. Singing relieves stress and it is good for the soul.
