Can Anyone Help My Computer?

My Pc seems to be suffering from a disease of sorts and since I don't really have that much background on computers, I find myself getting anxious as to its working state day by day. I have experienced the following situations lately: 1. The system hangs up when internet connection fails. 2. I can't do system restore anymore. Each time I do, it will register a Restoration Incomlete message and this has been going on for a month. 3. It automatically restarts everytime I burn a cd.

From your experience -- One you're using Windows XP I would say as my quality guess. If your computer is restarting most likely you do have a problem with your machine that relates to your memory in the system or due to Power failure. If you can't do system restore anymore in your machine most likely your system is infected with virus/spyware/adware due to the fact your system is running slow and the connection now is unstable. I have to say your system lacks internet security. I really suggest you get your system cleaned before continuing to use it.

You should update your antivirus scan. After you surf over the internet, before you shut down your PC, you should check out the internet properties and delete all the cookies. It somehow helps.

Thanks for this response. I haven't tried deleting the cookies. I will try doing it.

Try running an AV scan as well as an antispyware scan first. Some malwares probably are playing wit your pc. Update them first so that they will work better. Also, try WIndows Update to update the OS itself

Thanks a lot for this response. I When I ran the AV scan last week, a Trojan horse was hiding inside and eating up some of the system 32 files. Whoever sent that deserves a heartfelt thanks. But then, I should have been more careful, right? Thanks once again. I'll try having the anti spyware first.

Is your problem solved, after trying all the above tips.... If not do a fresh install of the operating system and install a good internet security suit...I prefer Pc-cillin Internet security 2007.After that run a full system scan and keep your anti-virus software upto date.

i advise you to look for a computer technician to check the status of your machine. Maybe you need to upgrade it, perhaps you need to buy a new one.
