how far does rahman use softwares to create music? jus a small brief on how he creates music.... 1)he records a song over a period of 10-15 days. a singer sings one song perhaps innumberable times till rahman gives a final nod. once it is approved the singer's job is done. now rahman sits over his singing and edits the bad parts and couples the best parts and after another day of hardwork the singers work is readu. the singer never sang that song continuouslu but the best parts are selected and sampled. 2) he then records music or wat you call background music. after that he mixes it with the vocal part. then suddenly he may realise that both of them do not gel wll in frequency. and her frequency division modulation takes place, ahuge process which very well packs the music and vocal parts. 3)if he needs shreya ghosal to sing in track 15 (the highest) but lets assume shreya can sing only till 11. so rahman lets her sing in track 8 or 9 in which is comfortable and then simply phase modulates the vocal to appear as if she sand in track 15! this is said to be a very costly proces and risky too. all this tells us that rahman uses softwares but doesnt use to produce tunes. instead he uses them to effectivesly edit the tunes. and that is why he is perhaps the best. he uses technology but we cannot deny the fact that his oriniginality is maintained in each song.
