moving to australia

has anyone been to mackay queensland or anywhere near to there to give me a rough insight of what its like.

I live in Brisbane, Queensland. It gets really really hot in the summer and we are suffering from a draught at the moment and are happy to get any rain. When it rains though - it rains a lot.
