DO you think there is a conflict between cultures here on myLot? I figured that the majority of the population on here was going to be from the US. It seems I was wrong. Do you think that some of the Discussions and ideas show a conflict between American and other cultures?

There may be, but one thing I like about Mylot is that it gives an open forum to all users to respond to the topic in their own perspectives. It leaves to the author of the post what to expect from the thread he/she has started and the users from the discussions and/or ideas. Conflicts may occur when user's expectations on the discussions or ideas of user from different country are not met because he/she feels different.

I believe that the culture conflict is important. What so many of the people from the US forget is that we approach the world with the Western world view, and many of us are extremely ignorant of the cultures that spread across the world. On top of that, when we make a post asking for advice it is interesting and helpful to get advice from around the world. There are times when the cultures are so different that advice cannot help, but it is nice to hear from people who think differently than I do.

This is true. I just think some people are insensitive to the fact that people are from other cultures. I wish we could all have a deeper understanding of each others cultures.

I have not seen very many conflicts of any kind on this site due to cultures. I think everyone on here is pretty respectful of ones opinions. Though sometimes the opinions are a bit sassy but never hurtful.

I personally haven't seen many issues concerning culture. Usually just afew misunderstandings about the slang used. usually people have courtesy toward cultures and are at the least, polite.
