How do you make money on line?

I just started here a few days ago and since then lost my job. While I am out looking for a job I don't want to discount earning extra money on line as an option. I know I won't start out very high on the pay scale.
I don't seem to be building a lot of cash up here but then I don't have a large circle of friends to get referrals from. Helium.com pays a little for posting articles. Are there any other sites out there that you don't have to pay to join and can earn money on? Please share.

Nearly every survey I've done has ended up being one where you have to sign up for a membership or a trial period and almost always requires a credit card.
Are there any real surveys where you don't have to do all that and can just fill out a survey and earn money?

I've many sites to be get paid , but all as you said need a start and very slow , but I've a good website when you submit a couple of pictures you got paid forever , you can work on it for a period of time then let it makes money for you. www.flonker.com this is the sit , now I've submitted 51 picture and I got daily about 20-50 cent without doing anything. try it won't lose anything.

I don't know any good ones yet. This one definately isn't good for a job. I'm only working here because my family is really poor and i'm trying to buy a new mp4 player to replace the one that i broke. I wouldn't work online, you make more money at mcdonald's in one day than you would at this place in 2 weeks. I would get a real job but I'm not allowed to work yet.
