My brother has a mental disorder brought about we think by drugs and high stress. He distanced himself from us approx 4 yrs ago and we dont know his phone number or where he lives we only know the suburb as he dosnt want to have contact with the rest of our family. Yesterday i was reading our news paper and came across an article of road deaths over the weekend, you can imagine my horror when i read of "2 men being killed close to where my brother lives on a motorcycle the same as his". I rang 3 different lots of police stations before being told that it wasnt my brother. My question is if a person distances themselves from their family who is their next of kin ? If anything should happen to my brother would the police be able to find my mother ( she lives in the house he left from)? Has this happened to you or anyone that you know ?

I feel for you my daughter what was diagnosed with Schizophrenia would disappear on me for months and I would worry a lot. You can't reason with them and the only thing you can do is show them that you love and care for them. Pray that he gets the proper treatment.

My brother has left the family. and when my mother had a heart attack, the police told him when we asked them to. If your brother has been in any trouble with the law, they will know his background. Relax, in times like this, no news is good news.

So the police were able to track him down, my brother has had dealings with the police many years ago but not recently. He does have a motor bike and cars registered in his name though, but i still am not sure how they would find my mum.
