Smoking is more than a 'bad habit' it is an addiction. Mild when compared with some other addictions, but an addiction all the same.
You become tolerant of the nicotine and your body demands you maintain a certain level of this substance at all times.
As with any addiction the ritual of using the substance becomes a soothing response. You become psychologically addicted to this ritual.
This addiction like all others is one that is easiest to defeat before it has become long term.
Support groups can be of emmense help for some people, being in no smoking areas can also.
Some people use the nicotine patches or gum to help reduce or eliminate smoking. Some use both and a support group.
Stopping now rather than later will have more benefits than your health...financially you will benefit also.
Blue Cross health insurance has a program they offer their subscribers. Check with your health insurance agency to see if they offer one.

other than smoking...when I get upset, the only thing that can calm me down is eating something sweet..if I keep it up, I'll be huge..I think my other habit has to be cursing..I curse so much now, I don't even realize I am doing it!

if you have just recently begun smoking, I would recommend you quit now while you can!! It is very difficult to quit later, and it will kill you eventually!! I smoked for 13 years and I am only 26 years old!! I quit 2 months ago and I am still struggling with it daily!! Do youself a favor and quit before you become addicted if you already arent!!
