Do you spend your anniversary in the same way every year?

My husband and I have been married for 9 years. He does not like to go to the movies, so as a treat, every year on our anniversary, he lets me pick out a movie and we go. We usually hit the matinee (to save a couple of dollars, every little bit helps these days), then we go get a little dinner. It may not seem romantic to some people, but for any husband to do something with his wife that he doesn't necessarily enjoy is very romantic, in my opinion. Almost every time, he ends up liking the movie and going, he just isn't someone who likes to sit still. Do you do the same thing every anniversary, or does it change every year?

well
last year we celebrated by both forgetting it even was our aniversary
this was just as well cuz if it was just me who forgot the tem year wedding one I would have been in serious trouble.
since she forgot also it wasn't that big a problem
it was written on our calendar too
its nice when life isn't making me lok at that calender too much, so bust with something I have to do all the time, sometimes even 2 things to do in the same week. I can't handle the stress. How do I cope?

My husband and I have been married for almost 27 years this June. It varies from year to year what we do depending on money situation and what is going on at that time. We went to mexico one year to celebrate and it was fun. We like to save up and do something really special. It makes it more special that way. You only live once.

We typically do about the same on a yearly basis. It is in November and it could be really snowy like Valentines was. We try to get an anniversary cake and ice cream. We share the day with the kids. If we can we all go out to eat. Depends on if we can afford it or not. We do note the day, just not in a big way.

we will be married 26 years on the 21st of march., and we just take a nice vacation together now. the first 15-18 we could not afford any vacations, so we would do dinner, or a movie.. nothing big. we don't really make a big deal out of it. but its nice to get away together!

Well I'm not getting married till next year, but we do like to go out and celebrate the date we got together every year. It makes it more special because there were so many obstacles to us being together. We've even set our Wedding date for our 4th year anniversary next year.
We usually like to go out to eat depending on if we can get a babysitter and the finances aren't too tight. There is a place called East Side Mario's that's an Italian/American Eatery and their food is soooo good. Problem is, it's not exactly cheap.

When is your anniverary? Ours is November 26. The year we got married, it was the day before Thanksgiving, and I spent the evening preparing Thanksgiving dinner for our families.

Nope. I am the one that always remembers our anniversary. My wife always forgets. We have never done anything special on any of our anniversaries. I wanted to take a nice trip for our 25th but that never happened. Sad isn't it? Well our 29th is coming up soon. April 13th. Will she remember it? NOT!!!!!
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!

My husband is not a good movie date either. He falls asleep everytime with in the first 10 minutes."sigh". So on our aniversery it has to be something active such as dinner then maybe a club for dancing or we go to the one of the kids houses for cake or what ever they have instore. But yes I think it has become pretty repeatitive over the years. I often would like to go away even just a couple of days but our aniversary is in november and so close to thanksgiving that hardly have we ever been able to take the time to do so.
