I wish I could say what to do for that.
My childhod was golden though !!!!!
Really almost perfect.
School was sort of boring and I got beaten up by bigger kids a few times. Those were the worst things that happened to me till I was 33.
So for me the challenge is how do I remember it more and get back to that place more. There is strength and happiness there for me.
I feel soo bad for folks who had bad childhoods.
I could listen maybe.

I don't think that forgetting, in the sense of erasing them from our memory is ever possible. We only have to live with them and over time, the pain goes away and the experience became just an incident in the past which we have learned a lesson from. As more and more happy experiences happen to us, they tend to overwhelm and overshadow the sad ones so it is wise to just move on and focus at the good things in life.

We all forget some things that happened in our childhood. Some times they are remembered when that memory is triggered. There fore we really did not forget them, only repressed them.
When a terrible thing happens that we can not forget it is best to give some time to let the mind digest what happened. If after a while it still causes you much pain or if you ever feel that you just can't go on then professional help might be in order. Not to say a person is crazy , but sometimes we need help sorting out and dealing with things. If you are in school then a counselor may be of help. If not perhaps a doctor or clergyman is the one to talk to. Any of these can help you or steer you in the right direction for help.
Please keep us posted. We will be wanting to check back with you to see if you are doing well.
