Legolas is, indeed, the best character in Lord of the Rings.Orlando Bloom plays a nice role as Legolas, so, much of his stunts and action scenes like archery are almost to perfection.He's sleak,very neat, indeed.He's like the people's champ.Why can't he have the lead role instead of Elijah as Frodo? :[

Because they needed a guy with boyish good looks to play a hobbit...Orlando Bloom is fit to be an elf...jawline of his

I know..It was just a thought that instead of a hobbit (Elijah), give the lead role to an elf(Orlando) who is more deserving (I guess), since he does all the cool stunts and he looks great..And again, it's just a thought.

Lolz..they added a lot of Legolas scenes in the last movies coz the ladies went wild after Legolas's shield surfing stunt in Two Towers! Hahahahaha! why didn't Tolkien think of that? give the role to an immortal and not to mention, super hot elf...

Legolas is one of the coolest character in the Lord of the Rings, specially when Orlando Bloom played the part! Hehehe!

...in the book Legolas wasn't a very important character, so I don't think he is the best, I think Gandalf is the best, and second Aragon. So Legolas is only an elf that can shoot a bow(he is very good) but just an archer.

Well, he's a good character but for me it's not the best. For the best I would have to choose between Frodo or Aragorn.

He's the most overrated character in LOTR... come to think of it...he's just always in Aragorn's sideline...He was never really involved in the book's majpr plots...he's just there as a ranger, archer and representative of the elves in the feloowship... Still... I think he could have been the best if he has enough exposure in the book.
