I have a 4 year old son who weigh like a 10 years old. I am afraid of the consequence of his health if I will not control his eating habit. The worst is I cannot control him anymore. They were times when he hide under the table and eat there so that I cannot see him. Help...what do you think should I do?

I still think you should try to control him. It would not be good if his weight gets out of hand.
Why don't you try explaining to him why he should eat healthy. "Knocking" some sense into him might help. ;-)

That's one thing which should be controlled, at this age generally kids tend to eat all junk food, try to avoid all the junk food. Better not to buy that stuff. Make sure that he has healthy food and that too lesser quantities but many number of times a day. Generally more number of times one has food it is good but quantity should be very less.
Controlling him now is better coz' once they cross certain age they wont even bother to listen. Better not to put much food items that are easily accessible else avoid buying it completely. Fruits are best, easily digestible and healthy and maintains the health too.

You have to pay attention to everything he eats at all times and possible even talk to his teachers about watching what he eats while he is at school. Try to keep as many fresh fruits around the house as possible and push him to eat those as snacks instead of treats. He's only 4 so you still have time to develop healthy eating habits.

What about exercise? Does he get any? I actually find the more exercise i do, the less I eat. I realize he's only 4 and it's not like you can send him to a gym. But get him involved in some team sports. Like soccer or softball. there's all sorts of leagues for young kids.

One of the things you can do is to keep all of the unhealthy food out of the house. Limit what your son has access to. Sometimes people will put sweets and things in the garage, etc. 2...Get him used to eating healty things now.

I would try hiding the sweets and cutting his food intake down.He may get mad but you are in charge and it's his health at stake.I wish you the best of luck with that.
As for him getting out of hand,be real firm with him and make him realize you are in charge. If he still gets out of hand,I would seek help before the problem got out of hand.
By the way, welcome to mylot! Thanks for requesting my friendship and I will be here if you have any questions.
