Well you didn't mention her age or yours, and you didn't mention what she liked. But speaking as a MOM myself the things that mean the most are the things that create a memory or bring back a pleasant one. PICTURES are wonderful. Make her a cute album of pictures of you and her together, or a new nice portrait of you?. You don't have much time, so maybe a nice Mother Daughter appointment to have a portrait of the two of you together? I know that would be very special to me.

I always try to give my mother gifts from the heart. Gifts that have been well thought out and have some form of meaning to them, that are also useful gifts as well. I think maybe a special locket with yours and your mom's picture in it would make a great gift. But again it is up to you since you know better what your mom likes than what I do.

Why don't you take her to the mall and check out what she wants without giving her a hint that you want to buy her something. Then secretly you can buy that item for her and hand it to her right there in the mall. I'm sure she would be smiling all the way home :-D I did that twice with my friends and it just works. Why don't you get one of your pictures of you and her and have it blown up and put into a nice frame. Pictures showing happy times make life so much better.
