Should people be penalized for donating spam on mylot?

Im not sure if this discussion has come up before, I havent found it... but I have found a lot of spam on here... useless one-liner posts like people starting a discussion saying "hi hows it going!" or something like that, or discussions and replys that are just plain gibberish where a person I swear just smashes their hand on the keyboard making no relevant words at all much less conversation, and then they post it, or even replies that are just copies of the original discussion that they are started in... Im not sure if people get penalized for things like this but I hope they do, I see it more and more and I personally think it would be nice to know that they not only don't get paid for such nonsense but actually get penalized for it. Care to share your views on the subject?
