A lot of negativity is put on a coach when a team loses but I think its entirely wrong..when it comes to cricket a coach can impart some new training techniques, man management and give some insights into players techniques & attitudes..other than that its upto the 11 players on the field to put their best foot forward..especially teams like India, pakistan have found a scape goat in the form of their coaches for their spineless efforts....strategy & planning can be put on paper easily but the implementation is important and that rests solely on the players ..cricket is a team game..if the so called "Superstars" cant work as a team or have ego clashes with coaches and lose the matches for their country..its a shame to them and not to their "Coach"

I will have to agree with you.. that nowadays the coach is put into the fire if the team does not perform.. a coach can only do upto an extent then it is upto the players to perform.. If the coach has not prepared the team properly. or his research and strategies are wrong then u can blame the coach.. but not for players not performing

As u might see now...people blaming Greg chappel ....if a manager / coach has powers like in the game of soccer then the blame can be a part of the coach too...but a cricket coach hasnt got that much powers

Coach should give new ideas, new thoughts, new techniques and attitude. It is upto players how they perform in outer field.
